Wigdor Defeats Two Motions in Puris v. TikTok

On Thursday, 1/30/2025, Wigdor defeated TikTok and ByteDance’s motion to compel arbitration as well as the vast majority of their motion to dismiss in the matter of Puris v. TikTok et al. (Find additional details: Litigation Against TikTok / ByteDance.)

In rendering its well-reasoned decision, the court further clarifies the scope of the Ending Forced Arbitration Act (EFAA) and the result is that TikTok and ByteDance will not be able to avoid accountability for their actions in a court of law.
