Wigdor LLP represented Sal Marchiano, the Emmy-winning “dean” of New York sports television reporters, in an age discrimination action stemming from his false “retirement” from WPIX/Channel 11′s news team.
Despite his long list of honors and accolades, management at WPIX decided to replace Mr. Marchiano with a reporter decades younger in a blatant act of ageism. Wigdor LLP also represented Larry Hoff, a former features reporter for WPIX in a separately filed age discrimination lawsuit.
