Statement of Douglas Wigdor and Kevin Mintzer:
We fought against the nonconsensual releases given to the directors of the Weinstein Company. Unfortunately, we did not receive the support of the New York Attorney General, who backed the sweetheart deal given to the men who enabled Harvey Weinstein. Today’s Supreme Court decision validates what we had said all along: the free pass provided to directors of the Weinstein Company at the expense of sexual assault survivors was a great travesty of our judicial system.
